REACHING CATANDUANES:
Manila - Catanduanes by bus and by boat:

Take the bus in Cubao or Pasay Metro Manila terminal and jump off at Tabaco Port. Philtranco Line covers the 580 km from Manila to Tabaco Port in an 12 hour trip! Once in Tabaco you have 3 ferries to choose from to get yourself to Catanduanes Island. Ride either by MV Eugenia, Star Ferry or MV Regina shipping lines. Traveltime is 3 to 3-1/2 hours for the MV Eugenia and the Star Ferry which dock straight at Virac Seaport.
MV Regina takes 2-1/2 hours to reach San Andres seaport on Catanduanes. From San Andres you can take a jeepney or a trike to the capital city of Virac.
Trawtrasco lines offers an roll-on-roll-off service to its coach passengers on the ferry (busstation in front of Ali-mall Cubao)

Manila - Catanduanes by plane:
Take a direct (daily) flight to Virac from Manila domestic airport (about 55 minutes) with the Asian Spirit. Starting July 2008 PAL Philippine Airlines also provides a daily flightservice from Manila to Catanduanes! Airporttax (terminalfee); should be paid at the airport taxcounter after check-in. Fee for international flights at manila international airport: up to 750 PHP a person, terminal fee Virac domestic airport: 20 PHP a person.
It is recommended to re-confirm your flight at least 72 hrs before departure and to check-in at least 3 hrs before your flight!
